In 2017 the RONAL GROUP was once again represented at the Essen Motor Show from December 1-10. We showcased our latest products and technologies at stand D119 in Hall 11, as well as our new Aftermarket presence.

We were back in Essen again this year with a revamped show booth boasting a fresh new design. Every exhibition visitor has seen the finished result. But what happens behind the scenes before a stand like this is ready? Just click through our gallery!

This year we started setting up in Essen’s icy-cold exhibition halls eight days before the fair’s opening date. Everything was accomplished by a four-strong set-up team working under the direction of our stand builder Andreas Messerli AG from Wetzikon near Zurich. 1.5 semitrailers transported 20 tons of material to Essen for incorporation in our stand, which covered a total area of 140m2. After delivery of all parts for the exhibition stand, the first step was to construct the suspension system and mount it on the ceiling. Next, the crew hung up banners for our brand and installed our 10,500 watt lighting equipment, designed to put the spotlight on our wheels. This was followed by the set-up of various booth walls featuring our new Aftermarket design. This involved covering a total area of 560m2 with graphics. The team then displayed our wheels on the rotating wheel stands and countertops. This year for the first time we also set up a 3.60m LED video wall plus sound system to offer visitors impressions of the last 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Last but not least, we also put up a photo selfie booth, which resulted in much entertainment for the people at the fair! Another highlight: The set-up process finished to the sound of a throbbing engine. Team Schirmer’s original BMW M2 was driven into the hall, brimming with power and sporting custom-made SPEEDLINE CORSE wheels in the victor’s color gold.

And this is how we created our exhibition stand, as presented to visitors to the show on December 1-10. Verdict: The hard work was worth it!
