RONAL SOCCER CUP 2018

in Italy

Date: 12. June 2018

From 1 to 3 June, our SPEEDLINE plant in northern Italy had the pleasure of playing host to 110 intrepid players from all RONAL plants for this year’s RONAL Soccer Cup 2018, which is a tradition within the RONAL GROUP.

The green and relaxing hills of the Euganean region close to Padua were the perfect setting for this event, ensuring a very pleasant stay for all the teams. An enchanting location, an amazing atmosphere, ten teams, two soccer fields and…plenty of passion!

The matches took place throughout the day on Saturday 2 June. They were really tough, and both players and supporters threw themselves into the competition with enthusiasm. From the start, with the singing of the national anthems, it was a very intense experience for everyone, and the whole day unfolded in the name of “respect”. All participants received a bracelet marked with “Respect 2018”, symbolizing one of our RONAL GROUP values that we live both in and outside the workplace. Spain won the title of champions, immediately followed by the SPEEDLINE Italian team and then the team from the Czech Republic.

To reward the efforts of the players, an amazing surprise event was organized on Saturday night. The best celebration for a truly remarkable experience! A characteristic galleon hosted all the participants, who dined on board before proceeding to Piazza San Marco, an undisputed symbol of the incomparable city of Venice. After a short tour of the fascinating city by night, the colleagues returned to the boat, where they enjoyed music and dance for the rest of the evening while sailing along the coast of Lido and Giudecca’s islands.

The following day – the last day – many players left the hotel early in the morning to reach the airport where their return flights awaited them. We visited Padua along with the other players who were able to stay and enjoy a couple more hours. We admired the beauty of the city on a sightseeing bus. The trip, rich in passion, team spirit and collaboration, drew to a close in this relaxing way on a sunny Sunday.
