History

1969

Karl Roland Wirth founds RONAL in Walldorf, Germany (RON is an abbreviation of his middle name, AL stands for aluminum). The first wheels are manufactured by an external partner using the sand casting process. The range includes 15 designs by the end of the year.

1970

The first plant, specializing in the manufacture of cast light-alloy wheels, originates in Forst, Germany. Manufacture of the first aluminum wheels starts the same year.

1971

RONAL receives the first order from an original equipment manufacturer, Ford.
